Jakarta, Agustus 2025 – Dunia perbankan digital semakin kompetitif, dan tantangan inilah yang diangkat dalam BCA Business Case Competition (BBCC) 2025, sebuah kompetisi tahunan bergengsi yang diselenggarakan oleh PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA). Dengan tema “Winning Hearts Through the Payment Journey”, BBCC tahun ini mengajak mahasiswa dari seluruh Indonesia untuk menemukan strategi inovatif agar BCA menjadi pilihan utama bagi merchant dan pelanggan di era digitalisasi pembayaran.
Di tengah ratusan pendaftar, Felicia Sword, mahasiswa Program Studi Informatika Universitas Ciputra (UC) Surabaya, berhasil menorehkan prestasi membanggakan. Bersama timnya Felicia berhasil meraih Juara 2 Nasional, sebuah pencapaian luar biasa mengingat ketatnya persaingan dan kualitas finalis yang diundang ke Jakarta.
Proses kompetisi berlangsung sejak pendaftaran dibuka pada Juli 2025, di mana mahasiswa harus mengunggah video ide singkat terkait problem statement di LinkedIn. Dari sana, sebanyak 30 finalis terbaik diumumkan pada 12 Agustus 2025 dan diundang untuk mengikuti grand final pada 27–30 Agustus di Jakarta. Dalam tahap ini, para finalis mendapatkan pembekalan, mentoring, serta mengikuti sesi hackathon untuk menguji kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis.
Selama empat hari intensif, Felicia bersama tim yang dibentuk di awal hackathon, Alexander Que dari BINUS University dan Ericha Mellyana dari Universitas Gadjah Mada yang dibentuk pada saat pelaksanaan, berhasil meraih Juara 2 Nasional, berfokus pada strategi membangun loyalitas berkelanjutan di luar sekadar persaingan harga. Mereka menawarkan gagasan mengenai pengalaman pengguna yang lebih mulus, sistem reward yang menarik, serta kenyamanan transaksi digital. Ide ini dipresentasikan dalam bentuk pitch deck yang disampaikan langsung di hadapan jajaran manajemen dan dewan juri BCA.
Felicia mengaku sangat bersyukur atas kesempatan ini. Menurutnya, pengalaman mengikuti BBCC bukan hanya soal kompetisi, tetapi juga soal belajar bekerja sama di bawah tekanan, berpikir strategis, dan menghadirkan solusi nyata bagi industri. “Prestasi ini adalah hasil kerja keras tim dan dukungan semua pihak. Saya bangga bisa membawa nama Informatika UC ke panggung nasional,” ujarnya.
Direktur BCA, Lianawaty Suwono, dalam siaran pers resmi menyampaikan bahwa BBCC hadir sebagai sarana mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan ide-ide brilian sekaligus menyiapkan mereka menghadapi dunia profesional. Kompetisi ini juga menjadi bagian dari komitmen BCA dalam mendukung Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya akses terhadap pendidikan berkualitas dan pembangunan ekonomi berkelanjutan.
Pencapaian Felicia Sword menunjukkan kualitas Informatika UC dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa yang tidak hanya unggul di bidang teknologi, tetapi juga mampu berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan industri. Keberhasilan ini menjadi inspirasi baru bagi generasi muda untuk berani bermimpi besar dan berkontribusi nyata bagi Indonesia.
Felicia Sword, UC Informatics Student Wins 2nd Place at BCA Business Case Competition 2025
Jakarta, August 2025 – The digital banking industry is becoming increasingly competitive, and this was the central challenge of the BCA Business Case Competition (BBCC) 2025, an annual nationwide event organized by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA). With the theme “Winning Hearts Through the Payment Journey”, this year’s BBCC invited students from across Indonesia to develop innovative strategies to position BCA as the top choice for merchants and customers in digital payments.
Among the many participants, Felicia Sword, a student of the Informatics Program at Universitas Ciputra (UC) Surabaya, made her mark. Together with her teammates, she proudly secured 2nd Place at the national level, an impressive accomplishment considering the high caliber of finalists who competed in Jakarta.
The competition began with registration in July 2025, where students submitted short LinkedIn videos outlining their ideas and problem statements. From there, 30 finalists were announced on August 12, 2025, and invited to the grand final in Jakarta on August 27–30. Over three intensive days, participants engaged in mentoring sessions, hackathon-style challenges, and collaboration workshops, all leading up to their final presentations before BCA’s management and judges.
Felicia and her team, Alexander Que from BINUS University and Ericha Mellyana from Universitas Gadjah Mada, focused their solution on building sustainable loyalty, moving beyond price competition. Their pitch highlighted how banks could enhance user experience through convenience, attractive reward systems, and seamless digital transactions. Presented in a well-crafted pitch deck, their ideas showcased both creativity and practicality, earning them recognition as one of the top-performing teams.
Reflecting on her journey, Felicia expressed gratitude for the opportunity. She emphasized that the competition was not just about winning but also about learning to collaborate under pressure, think strategically, and create solutions with real-world impact. “This achievement is the result of teamwork and support from many people. I’m proud to represent UC Informatics on a national stage,” she shared.
In BCA’s official press release, Director Lianawaty Suwono stated that the competition provides students with a valuable platform to share their brilliant ideas while preparing them for professional challenges. BBCC is also part of BCA’s commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in providing access to quality education and supporting sustainable economic growth.
Felicia Sword’s success reflects the strength of the UC Informatics Program, which equips students not only with technical expertise but also with critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability.
