Universitas Ciputra (UC) kembali menorehkan prestasi membanggakan melalui mahasiswanya. Nahasiswa Program Studi Informatika UC Theressa Natasha Thebez, bersama timnya Aisha Safira Salsa Hadi Putri dan Alvin Wilbertson Gunawan dari Program Studi International Business Management (Regular Class),  berhasil meraih Juara 2 dalam ajang Youthpreneur Business Plan Competition (BPC) 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Sumatera Utara pada 23 April 2025.

Kompetisi ini bukan sekadar lomba penyusunan rencana bisnis, melainkan ajang yang dirancang untuk merangsang jiwa kewirausahaan sekaligus memacu inovasi generasi muda Indonesia. Dengan mengusung tema “Entrepreneurship as a Pillar: Building Sustainable Business and Innovation with AI-based Technology”, Youthpreneur BPC 2025 menantang peserta untuk menghadirkan ide bisnis kreatif yang relevan dengan isu pembangunan berkelanjutan, seperti pekerjaan layak dan pertumbuhan ekonomi, pendidikan berkualitas, serta inovasi industri.

Theressa bersama timnya melalui proses panjang yang dimulai dari penyusunan Business Model Canvas (BMC), pembuatan proposal rencana bisnis, hingga tahap Pitching Day yang diadakan secara hybrid di Aula Prof. Suhadji Hadibroto, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis USU. Ide bisnis yang mereka presentasikan berhasil memikat dewan juri berkat inovasi dan kreativitasnya, sehingga membawa pulang gelar juara 2 nasional.

Kesuksesan ini juga tidak lepas dari dukungan dosen pembimbing, Dr. Sri Nathasya Br Sitepu, S.E., M.Ec.Dev., yang mendampingi tim UC selama kompetisi. Kehadiran mentor berpengalaman semakin memperkuat kualitas persiapan tim dalam menyusun strategi bisnis yang terukur dan berkelanjutan.

Theressa menyampaikan rasa syukur atas pencapaian ini. Menurutnya, pengalaman berharga ini tidak hanya menambah pengetahuan, tetapi juga melatih kemampuan komunikasi, kerja sama, dan berpikir strategis. “Bersaing dengan mahasiswa dari seluruh Indonesia membuka wawasan saya bahwa inovasi dan keberanian mengambil tantangan adalah kunci untuk berkembang,” ungkapnya.

Keberhasilan Theressa menjadi bukti nyata bahwa mahasiswa Informatika UC mampu bersinar tidak hanya di bidang teknologi, tetapi juga dalam ranah kewirausahaan. Dengan pencapaian ini, UC terus menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mencetak entrepreneur digital berkelas dunia yang siap memberi dampak nyata bagi masyarakat.

Universitas Ciputra (UC) proudly celebrates another remarkable achievement by one of its students. Theressa Natasha Thebez (Informatics) with her team Aisha Safira Salsa Hadi Putri and Alvin Wilbertson Gunawan (International Business Management – Regular Class), successfully secured 2nd Place at the Youthpreneur Business Plan Competition (BPC) 2025, hosted by Universitas Sumatera Utara.

This competition goes beyond a typical business plan contest—it is a platform designed to nurture entrepreneurship and stimulate innovation among Indonesia’s young generation. Carrying the theme “Entrepreneurship as a Pillar: Building Sustainable Business and Innovation with AI-based Technology”, Youthpreneur BPC 2025 challenged participants to create impactful business ideas aligned with sustainable development issues such as decent work and economic growth, quality education, and industrial innovation.

Together with her team, Theressa went through a rigorous process that included developing a Business Model Canvas (BMC), submitting a comprehensive business proposal, and finally presenting their idea at the Pitching Day held in a hybrid format at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Their business concept stood out for its creativity and innovation, ultimately earning them the position of national runner-up.

The team was also guided by their dedicated mentor, Dr. Sri Nathasya Br Sitepu, S.E., M.Ec.Dev., whose support and expertise played an important role in shaping their strategic and sustainable business plan.

Reflecting on her journey, Theressa expressed deep gratitude for the experience. She noted that the competition not only broadened her knowledge but also honed her skills in communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking. “Competing with students from across Indonesia opened my perspective that innovation and courage to take on challenges are the keys to growth,” she shared.

Theressa’s achievement highlights the versatility of UC Informatics students, proving they can excel not only in the field of technology but also in entrepreneurship. This success reinforces UC’s commitment to shaping world-class digital entrepreneurs who are ready to make a meaningful impact on society.
